Camarillo Ranch is a California designated historic site, with the property originally being a Mexican land grant dating back to 1837. The property is now owned by the City of Camarillo and managed by the Camarillo Ranch Foundation.
The 4.5 acre venue consists of five event spaces, including: the spacious Red Barn, which offers a rustic charm with modern conveniences, the stunning Victorian Home built in 1892; the Front Lawn with its mature trees; the East Lawn, which features a gazebo with a beautiful antique copper cupola (pictured); and the West Lawn with a mission-style fountain and rose covered arch. After visiting the Camarillo Ranch you will agree that it is one of the most picturesque settings in Ventura County!
The 6,000 square foot Victorian Home was the longtime residence of Camarillo’s founder, Adolfo Camarillo, and his family. The Victorian Home features richly wallpapered rooms, hardwood floors, original fireplaces and extensive interior woodwork. A generous wraparound porch allows guests to feel as if they have been transported back in time. The home is fully furnished as a house museum, but easily converts to become an event venue for weddings, corporate parties, and other special occasions. A caterer’s staging kitchen is available, as well as a bridal changing room and private restroom. The home can accommodate up to 75 guests for a seated event on the first floor or 175 for stand up cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres.
The three lovely lawns feature mature trees, water fountains and extensive planting. Numerous thematic gardens range from a butterfly garden to a formal Victorian garden. These provide the perfect backdrop for photography. The expansive main Front Lawn, with its canopy of historic trees, can accommodate upwards of 600 guests for a seated event. The East and West Lawn areas and White Horse Garden offer more intimate event venues for 50-300 guests, and are ideal for wedding ceremonies and cocktail parties.
The renovated barn is the perfect location for an indoor event. The space is charmingly rustic, with its unsealed wood plank walls, antique industrial lighting, renovated restrooms, and state-of-the art catering kitchen and audio visual equipment.
